GREG HURST
KHOU-TV news anchor Greg Hurst has reported on everything from Washington politics to foreign military conflicts; he has covered plane crashes, terrorism, hurricanes,
the space Shuttle Columbia disaster; interviewed Presidents, Popes and people from all walks of life.   Greg volunteers for charitable organizations that directly affect his life, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.   His 17 year old daughter, Arianna, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 9.   Having lost a family member to heart disease, the American Heart Association
and the Houston Hospice benefit from Greg’s helping
hand.   Serving as Emcee of the Lifeline Chaplaincy at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center inspired him to start visiting the center’s cancer patients.   One of his biggest joys is working with underprivileged children at places like the Small Steps Nurturing Center.   Also, he loves to work with Special Olympics kids and at the Star of Hope homeless shelter, where he and his family feel privileged to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the residents each year.
