Throughout history, literary interpretations include those by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not,” and John Keats: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever: Its loveliness increases; it will never pass into oblivion.”

Our 25 Beautiful Houstonians reflect the famed Kahlil Gibran quote: “Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.”
