Winds of Change Cosmetic Surgery Specialists

From a small Texas town, Dr. Kristi Sumpter’s down-home manner makes cosmetic surgery patients so at ease, she says, they often slip into calling her by her first name. A brilliant communicator, she instinctively answers questions before being asked. Patients frequently choose her as their surgeon, even if they previously consulted with other doctors. Dr. Sumpter also offers an arsenal of non-surgical techniques, such as fillers and Botox. “A good surgeon,” she says, “knows when not to operate.” When cosmetic surgery is opted for, however, her credentialed experience backs-up her friendly nature.
Dr. Sumpter’s well-established reputation in cosmetic breast surgery, tummy tucks, and more, perfectly compliments her work with breast cancer patients. Her dual training, certifications, and privileges allow her to lead these patients through their medical journey—from cancer removal surgery to reconstruction.
Dr. Sumpter is board certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and has full cosmetic surgery and general surgery privileges at two hospitals and two certified ambulatory surgery centers in northwest Houston.

Education: University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, D.O.
Surgery Residency; Michigan State University, Botsford General Hospital.
Surgery Fellowship; American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
