Having served the Clear Lake area since 2001, Dr. Chau M. Vu specializes in internal medicine and nephrology with a special focus on personalized care. Dr. Vu is a clinical specialist in hypertension and effectively treats his patients through a combination of medical diagnosis and continuous patient education.
Dr. Vu holds a special interest in home dialysis and is dedicated to expanding the options available to dialysis patients. In addition to devoting a great deal of time studying new dialysis systems under research, Dr. Vu is recognized for having the first NxStage home hemodialysis patient in the state of Texas. Dr. Vu is affiliated with the U.S. Renal Care Home Therapies, a premiere dialysis-at-home program serving the needs of home dialysis patients in 12 counties around Houston.
Dr. Vu is also the medical director of the newly built USRC Friendswood Dialysis Center which is now accepting both private insurance as well as Medicare dialysis patients within the Friendswood, League City, Webster, and Pearland areas.
Aside from his private practice, Dr. Vu is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Hypertension, National Kidney Foundation and American College of Physicians.
