Providing Care and Compassion in an Emergency
Gunshot wounds, heart attacks, a woman about to give birth. Adam Corley, MD, never knows what will happen next, but that’s why he loves his job as the Medical Director for Emergency Services at Brazosport Regional Health System.
“Providing life-saving emergency care is a critical part of my job, but so is reassuring the mother of a child with a 101 degree fever,” said Dr. Corley. “Emergency medicine is about caring and compassion and the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. I wouldn’t trade that for anything.”
Dr. Corley began his medical career as an orthopedic technician where his experience working with patients convinced him to become a doctor. He graduated from the University of Texas-Houston Medical School and chose emergency medicine because of its variety of cases and fast pace.
“Brazosport Regional is the only Level III Trauma Center in the area and we treat more than 33,000 patients a year,” said Dr. Corley. “We are quality and service oriented and I am proud of the way we care for each and every patient.”
Dr. Corley also serves as Regional Medical Director for EmCare, a leading provider of physician services.
