Located in the West Houston/Katy Area for more than 32 years, the firm of McCarty & McCarty was founded by Daniel and Jarrie McCarty, who are both fourth generation native Texans. Dan and Jarrie have each been Board Certified in Family Law for more than 22 years. The firm handles family law issues primarily, but also handles real estate, wills and probate matters. Particular emphasis in the firm is litigation in the areas of complex parent-child cases and complex property cases – especially separate property preservation and tracing; premarital agreements; interstate conflicts of laws; and cases involving retirement benefit issues. The firm’s primary office is located in the West Houston/Katy area, with other locations in the Sugar Land area and in the North FM1960 area.

“We are a family law firm in the broad sense,” Jarrie McCarty says.  The husband and wife team have worked successfully together in the firm of McCarty & McCarty since 1978. Their three children are practicing attorneys in the Greater Houston area and Austin. Jarrie McCarty expresses the firm’s approach as: “Our law practice is always varied and interesting. Daniel E. McCarty, Sr. has been practicing law for 38 years in Harris, Fort Bend and surrounding counties. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jarrie Davis McCarty has been practicing law for 32 years and is a native Houstonian. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctorate from University of Houston Law Center where she was a Member of the Houston Law Review.   She is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
