His victories include defense of a federal conspiracy indictment with one million pounds of marijuana.

Civil recoveries include $8.5 million in business litigation and million dollar recoveries involving wrongful death, automobile and truck accidents, rollovers, gunshot victims and malpractice.   Civil cases range from divorces, will contest, toxic exposure, Jones Act claims, toxic tort, and products liability. Jerry Patchen was awarded the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award by the State Bar of Texas for his tireless pro bono efforts on behalf of the first Americans, American Indians. He worked to secure their religious freedom, land claims, hate crime prosecution and recovery of ancestral remains and sacred objects from the U.S. government and museums.
