Dr. Atilla Ertan, Medical Director of the Ertan Digestive Disease Center, a Gastroenterology Center of Excellence at Memorial Hermann–TMC, and UTHealth Professor; Dr. Hani A. Zamil and Dr. David S. Wolf, gastroenterologists and UTHealth Assistant Professors; and Dr. Erik B. Wilson, Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Memorial Hermann–TMC and UTHealth’s Chief of Elective General Surgery, are all among the panel of experts who will explain why esophageal cancer is the fastest growing cancer in the United States today. In addition, they will discuss how heartburn or acid reflux may lead to esophageal cancer, as well as present prevention and treatment options for Barrett’s Esophagus.
