In his 26 years of private practice, hundreds of patients have trusted Dr. Van Slate’s skill in treating their complex cosmetic concerns, from porcelain veneer restorations to full mouth reconstruction.
A graduate of the University of Texas Dental Branch, Dr. Van Slate is a Fellow with the Las Vegas Dental Institute, where he has continued to train on an annual basis for more than 18 years. He is one of the few Texas dentists formally trained in neuromuscular dentistry, which uses computer technology to detect proper jaw relations—a revolutionary way used to treat and correct jaw function when treating TMD problems, snoring/sleep apnea issues and full mouth reconstruction. Additionally, Dr. Van Slate has completed a comprehensive TexMax program in dental implants, as well as courses in Myo-Functional Therapy, which helps treat and train patients with speech problems and breathing issues.
In recognition of his dental talents and expertise, Dr. Van Slate has been featured in several magazines and on two editions of Houston Extreme Makeover on Fox 26 News.
