‘Eleventeen’ celebration will be a two–day birthday bash
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will host its two-day 11th anniversary party, “Eleventeen,” on Saturday, Aug. 20 and Sunday, Aug. 21 at its location at 705 Main St.
The special two-day anniversary celebration will begin with the tapping of six different rare beers on Saturday. On Sunday, the Saucer will feature a build-your-own Michelada bar, beginning at 11 a.m., as well as an assortment of rare and cask beers being tapped throughout the day. Live music will be provided by Robolicious and Grah So Loud from 2 to 6 p.m.
Rare and cask beers being tapped for the Eleventeen weekend party include offerings from Brewery Ommegang; Ranger Creek Brewing; Stone Brewing Co.; Real Ale Brewing; Saint Arnold Brewing Company; and Avery Brewing, as well as several other selections. Special prizes will be raffled off throughout the weekend at both days’ festivities.
“Our anniversary parties have been such an overwhelming success in the past that we decided to make this year’s celebration a two-day party for beer lovers,” said Jake Rainey, general manager of Flying Saucer. “With all of the rare and cask beers that we’ll be tapping, plus the raffles, Michelada bar, food specials and music from Robolicious and Grah So Loud, this will be a great weekend of beer and fun!”
Admission is free for both days but beer and food prices will vary. For more information about the event, please call 713-228-9472 or visit http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/houston/.
