BETTY HRNCIR is passionate about child literacy, and for the past 10 years, has been a co-chair for the annual Barbara Bush Foundation’s “Celebration of Reading.” In 2015, along with Maria Bush, she co-founded The Ladies of Literacy, a guild to advance Mrs. Bush’s vision to improve lives through the power of literacy. Betty serves on the executive boards of The Partnership of Baylor College of Medicine, The Huffington Center on Aging, TIRR Family and The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. She has chaired and co-chaired such events as The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary “Reflections on Style” fashion show, luncheon and Chic Boutique, the Crystal Ball for Huffington Center’s 25th Anniversary celebration and The Mission of Yahweh’s “Unplugged and on a Mission” with Melissa Manchester.
