MARIE TAYLOR BOSARGE is the founder, president and director of Music Doing Good, Inc., a nonprofit arts organization that inspires and transforms lives through innovative music-based programming and performance experiences. In addition to concerts, Music Doing Good has three outreach programs that bring musical enrichment to children in underserved communities; the organization offers an after-school fine-arts program to students of Houston-area Title I schools, granting free, gently used instruments to students and schools, as well as scholarships to middle and high school students for private music lessons, workshops and festivals. In addition, Marie is the director and vice president of Capital Technologies, Inc. (CapTech), which manages the holding, business, investment and philanthropic activities of various trusts for the benefit of the Bosarge family. Marie is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Houston Symphony and the University of Houston Moores Society, and a member of the Advisory Board for Casa de Esperanza de los Niños, Inc. The Bosarge Family Office is home to another educational nonprofit organization, the Texas Flying Legends Museum. The museum is dedicated to teaching the history of World War II through the “Warbirds” that contributed greatly to the Allied victory. Their mission is to “Honor past generations and inspire the leaders of tomorrow through active display of WWII Warbirds.” Students who participate in Music Doing Good outreach programs are often invited to the museum to add value to their educational experience.
